Homemade crispy tortillas! A Tasty Thursday video

Crispy, edible plates. Stand in for crackers (cruisers, take note.) The base for all kinds of deliciousness like empanadas and nachos. A surprising twist on peanut butter. The possibilities are ENDLESS!

Sure, you can buy them at the store (have you seen them, in a long sock-like bag? They're there, looking a bit like a mutant caterpillar.) But why buy them when you can make them so easily at home? (those corn tortillas are easy to make. Or, if you've got them bought, freeze them to use for this whenever you want!)

CRISPY TORTILLAS (serves however many you want!)

  • corn tortillas
  • cooking spray or vegetable oil
  • seasoning (optional)
  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Lay the tortillas in a single layer on a baking sheet and spray both sides with cooking spray.
  3. Bake for 5 minutes a side, until crispy and hard. Use your nose - don't let them overcook!
